El Rancho de los Golondrinas

JULY 9, 2016. 10 AM

Please join us at El Rancho de Los Golondrinas , 224 Los Pinos Road, Santa Fe, NM.  Los Golondrinas is a living Spanish HIstory Museum located in a beautiful setting just south of Santa Fe.

We will meet at the main gate at 10 AM.  There is an entrance fee $8 adult, $6 for seniors.  We will do the usual sketching until Noon and then share.  This is a beautiful setting and there is loads to sketch.  I plan on bringing  a picnic lunch and spending the day.  I believe there is food/drink available on-site.

It would be helpful if you could RSVP me, if you are coming.

Hope to see you there.

Sketching at the Elena Gallegos Open Space

About a dozen sketchers and 100,000,000 of their closest insect friends showed up on a very hot Saturday morning to do some sketching at the Elena Gallegos Open Space area. After about two hours of sketching and insect swatting we assembled in the shade of a picnic shelter for a brief show-and-tell. I hope I got everyone’s artwork photographed.   A good time was had by all.

Melinda Beavers announced that the local Children’s Book Illustrators Group will be holding open studios between 3:30 and 5:30 on the first and third Fridays of the month starting on June 17th. The group will be meeting in the Manzano Mesa Multi-generational Center 501 Elizebeth St, SE 87123. Participants should enter the front door, take an immediate right and the craft room will be the 1st room on the right.

Thank you to Melinda for providing some of the pictures for our blog post.
