Rio Grande Nature Preserve, 2901 CANDLARIA ROAD, NW, Albuquerque. We will gather by the parking lot entrance to the preserve at 10 AM. There is a $3 parking fee. We will sketch for 2 hours and then share.
This is a lovely setting along the Rio Grande. There are many trails with viewing areas. Be prepared to do a little walking and don’t forget to bring your stool.
The Village of Madrid, NM is quirky, colorful and unique. Please join us on SATURDAY, MAY 6 from 10-12 NOON. We will gather at the MINE SHAFT TAVERN, 2846 NM 14 (the south side of town) and then scatter to sketch the ambiance of Madrid.
The Zoo at the Albuquerque Bio Park is always fun. There is opportunity to sketch buildings, peopl and the animals. Please make sure that you bring your stool.
We will meet on SATURDAY, APRIL 15 at the mail gate at 10 AM. We will sketch for 2 hours. Some of us might want to stay longer. Yes, there is an admission fee: $9.00 for adult and $4.50 for senior. NM ID is required. You can purchase tickets on-line.

Old Town is where this group was revitalized. Please join us for our third year visiting this lovely setting. We will meet BY THE GAZEBO on the PLAZA, SATURDAY, MARCH 25 at 10-12 noon . We will do the usual, sketch for two hours and then share what we’ve done.
Everyone is welcome. Those of us who have a bit more experience with sketching are most willing to help those who are new. All you have to do is ask. We are an eclectic group of wonderful people who love to sketch. So, please come.
The Albuquerque Museum of Art and HIstory is located at 2000 Mountain Road in Albuquerque. There is an admission fee of $2-3.oo depending on your age !

Saturday, January 7th from 1:30-3:30 Juliana Coles, a member of our group will be giving a lecture/presentation at Artisan’s Santa Fe. She will be sharing her books and favorite art materials. She is encouraging people to come and bring their journals/postcard books to share with others, the importance of self dialogue.
Juliana is also doing a fun 3 hour workshop on Sunday, January 8th at NEW TRICKS Art Studion in Albuquerque near Old Town. If you haven’t been there yet, they have a lot of fun classes going on. She will be teaching “The Art of Repetition” a very cool class that is more about technique and layering than journaling and expressing our inner workings.
