Wow! Everyone is so happy to be sketching on location again. The Pueblo Cultural Center turned out to be a great location though the majority of us chose to sketch across the street at Starbucks, where there was lots of shade, inside and out.
We are still making adjustments to the schedule as we get things going again. As apposed to the twice a month Zoom meetings we were doing thru the shut down we are currently meeting in person once a month and starting this August the meets will be held on the third Saturday of the month. These posts will start coming out the following weekend. We have been discussing meeting once every three weeks or possibly twice a month. If you would like to put your two cents in regarding the schedule we would love to hear from you. Just drop a line with your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your participation and comments are appreciated.
Our next in person meeting will be July 24th at Sandia Crest. For those new to the area that is where you drive up the back side of the mountain to where the antennas are, not where the Tram stops. The gift shop and cafe open at 10:30 a.m. but there is a lot we can sketch outside. The restaurant and bar open at 11:00 a.m. if you want to get lunch. We meet at the Gift Shop Entrance at 10:00 a.m. Do keep in mind it is usually much cooler at 10,00 feet. Donna is currently working on putting together a schedule and as we settle into a routine once again we will update the website.
It was great to see so many folks out for a sketching date, hope to see you all up on Sandia Crest. Please continue to allow others the right to their own air space and if you have not gotten a jab in the arm yet we appreciate your wearing a mask.
Here are the photos from the Pueblo Cultural Center.
Stay safe, stay happy and keep sketching.
