What a perfect day it was for sketching at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. The weather was a little warm but not warm enough to prevent several sketchers from enjoying the many outdoor exhibits. We had quite a few sketchers show up and would like to extend a warm welcome to the new sketchers that were in attendance. There will be photos of our sketches at the end of the post as usual. I have included a couple sketches from regular members that were unable to attend.
Petroglyph National Monument will be the site of our September 18th outing. We will meet at the Boca Negra Canyon Trailhead. There are restrooms there along with parking and shelters. Boca Negra is 2 1/2 miles north of the visitor’s center so if you would like to pick up a map at the VC you may want to be a little early. Sunscreen, hats and a water bottle are advised also please see the mask requirements on the Petroglyph National Monuments site. Oh yes, there are snake warning signs and there is a $2.00 parking fee, admittance is free.
A special thanks to Jay for making the “People Alive!” sketching workshop happen in Santa Fe this October 2. For info on the event contact Jay or myself. As always send your questions and comments to email@example.com.
We will be sure to have the stamp at the next outing so bring your sketches and get them stamped up. Enjoy the photos and we hope to see you all at the Petroglyphs.
Stay safe, stay happy and keep sketching.
